Authentication NOC

The LDS is the management interface to rules, people, offerings, products, devices, locations, credit card products, voucher management etc, etc.. It is built to handle huge load with 1000's of requests per second. It is a enterprise class JAVA application that if needed can be clustered and load balanced.

The LDS is placed centrally on the internet so that any access controller and all users always can reach it. It is the LDS that stores and mixes rules for users, the valid rules are sent to the Access controller. You can read more about the rules engine and its real time service provisioning here.

The LDS receives demands from Access Controllers regarding what rules an access controller should apply to a specific user. It evaluates many parameters before returning a final set of valid rules.

All information in the LDS is stored in a database. Both the LDS and the database are hosted in a first class hosting environment with tier1 connectivity. This ensures maximum uptime and availability.

Security

All sensitive information that is transmitted between the Access Controller, the user and the LDS are encrypted using SSL. Additionally the system is built to ensure credit fraud protection by NOT storing any credit card details on our servers. We are fully compliant with the VISA & Master Card recommendations for electronic commerce.

As one of the first providers we have the intention to implement 3d Secure payments in a hotspot.

Voucher making

When you own a hotspot a key feature in all our offerings is your ability to create vouchers making it simple and easy to distribute user rights to staff, guests and others.

If you want to create vouchers manually, you go to: https://lds.AmazingPorts.com/partner login with your user name and password you received in during the registration process of your access controller. This is NOT the same user name and password that "guests" and "users" of your network can create.

For certain implementations it is easier to use a machine to machine interface, therefor we have created a XML interface that should be as simple to use as the partner pages for manual voucher making, you can read more about it in the technology section.
